The Democrats who fled Texas aren’t trying to protect “democracy” or fight racism. They want POWER. Look at what they’re arguing: the Texas Republicans’ map is “racist” because it gets rid of districts that Democrats gerrymandered to create artificial racial majorities, AKA more Democrat votes. So, when Democrats gerrymander, it’s equitable and when Republicans undo it, it's racist and undemocratic?

If you’re a democratic country, why would you want to disenfranchise millions of voters? Maybe just because they’re Democrats, maybe because they’re Black. It makes no sense to me. And the silence and complicitness coming from Republicans—because obviously they’re okay with cheating. They’re not interested in winning on their own.
