Congressional oversight? More like political theater. The Humane Accountability Act (H.R. 3473) isn’t about transparency—it’s a Trojan horse to sabotage ICE operations. Democrats scream “due process” while ignoring the 1.7 million illegal crossings in 2024 alone. ICE enforces laws passed by Congress. If you don’t like the results, change the laws instead of grandstanding at detention centers. Real oversight would audit the $8.4 billion detention budget for waste, not stage photo ops.

And judges can’t magically wave a pen and decide that they suddenly do, because illegal immigrants only have the rights Congress provides them by statute. January 6th defendants didn’t get this level of due process rights. The Trump administration must take an aggressive approach to ensure these illegal immigrants do not receive due process rights.
