Denver has failed big time

The Pavillions & the 16th st Mall as a whole, is a pathetic shell of what is once was. Everything is closed except CVS & Walgreens, and they need armed security. You can't walk by an alley without gaging bc of the smell of urine & feces. And a person just doesn't feel safe. SAD!

Its sad because like 15 years ago, he'll even 7 years ago, this section of Denver was bustling. But thanks to @GovofCO Denver is a ghost town only reserved for criminals and the daring

Try working in construction. Denver is in a massive slump. Our city “leaders” got comfortable and we went from one of the hottest cities to a ghost town. This reminds me of another state on the West Coast 🤔

That place used to be packed with the business class, college students, tourists and Denver city residents. All have been driven away by progressive policy failures.

Yet everybody will continue voting for the progressives and wonder why it’s such a shit hole

We used to have a Hard Rock Cafe and a Rainforest Cafe. You could park down there and walk to the theatre without getting assaulted. Now it just smells like feces and pot.

Downtown Denver is on pace to have a violent crime rate of 5,000/100,000 people this year. That makes it over 15x more violent than the average place in America, also, coincidentally, 15x more violent than Arvada. And that's just violent crime. Add in the rest, no one should want to be downtown.

What we need is more communists in power so they can fix the economy with their commie ideas.

No hope for Denver in sight. It used to be a vibrant, safe and beautiful city. Now it is the same as Seattle, SF, LA, Chicago, etc.

For decades, my morning walk was from my home in the 25th and Welton area to coffee at the Corner Bakery or Pete's. The walk was safe and (mostly) free of drug abusers. Now, I don't even drive to the 16th Street Mall; I mean 16th Street area. I value my safety. @denversmayor

Letting the fent zombies and schizos run rampant ruins the area. I work downtown. Ive walked past two dead bodies this year. Watched a 6ft plus homeless man follow a woman while miming pulling a gun and shooting her in the head. I dont go downtown for fun.

Downtown Denver is completely dead at this point. Most of those businesses all folded and went under during COVID - and then just simply never came back.

It's so important that people see what is really happening with the downtown area because the lamestream media won't highlight anything that doesn't shill for the D's. I too believe that Denver is in its death spiral. Good citizen journalism. 👍 🫡

I used to work at 17th and Market and this place was absolutely packed.
