Derrek Lee That guy rocked.

I know Jones had better traditional numbers and Pujols had more WAR, but Lee had a special 2005 and should have been MVP. Nearly a 50/50 2B/HR season, led the league in OPS and SLG Hits and BA. Will forever by one of my favorite individual seasons and all time Cub.

Derrek Lee edit to Three Days Grace?

Him & Aramis Ramirez carried the Cubs for a few years

Loved that dude! Not a HoFer but a guy who was damn good for over a decade! His 2005 would easily win MVP nowadays, but he finished 3rd behind Pujols and Andruw Jones

Gorgeous Swing ⚾️

Having Derek Lee and Aramis Ramirez at first and third was perfection

Fun fact, even though I lived in the Pittsburgh area my cable network included WGN so I'd always be watching cub games as a kid, him and Aramis Ramirez were do fun to see in those days!!

One of my favorite players, a true professional

Great dude, gave me and my family tix to a game and field passes and a tour, never will forget just how tall he was

Pirates legend Derrek Lee

Watching his 2005 season was truly something special

His 2005 MVP campaign rings similar to PCA in 2026.

@bobbyb0om I wear his jersey to every game I go to 🐐

@ThatGuyRocked @SweetnessJJ97

Last guy to hit 40 homers in a season for the cubs.. fun fact of the day

Love me some D Lee

I got to watch him multiple times in person. He did a great job for the cubbies!!

2005 Derrek Lee was built different.

Cubs legend

One of my favorite cubs

I'm still pissed off Lee was 3 in MVP voting that year. Andruw Jones shouldn't have been 2nd.

Probably my favorite Cub of my lifetime. Got to watch him put together one of the best offensive seasons I’ve seen. Got the jersey too.

@ThatGuyRocked He is a poster child for Hall of Very Good

Loved this dude

@ThatGuyRocked Loved him

Go to Cubs Orioles combo on the grid

I remembered him DP Lee. Always grounding into that double play

@BoldGold94

@ThatGuyRocked Forgot about him. Always fun to watch
