I have a House Marten nest in my tunnel. They’re more than welcome to stay while they raise their little ones. They’re lovely. Laddo here’s obviously a massive cunt.

We used to have them nesting every year next door to us for years. Loads in the village. Beautiful birds

Average new build owner. Hates nature, hates trees, hates plants and greenery and aesthetics and their neighbours. Only concerned with where they can park their three SUVs and where to sit and watch the footie.

Id do the same. Bird can go make a nest in a tree.

Are they destroying a nest without a plan to relocate the birds? Is the address available?

Timothy Day's profile picture
Timothy Day3 months ago

It’s illegal to destroy occupied birds nests and it would be impossible to relocate them.

@ZahirHemini It’s illegal to destroy the nest? Are they endangered?

Zahir Hemini's profile picture

@somefingoruvver They are house martins, red listed and protected.

What is WRONG with these people. It is an absolute privilege to have house Martin's pick your home to raise their little ones. Imagine knocking all their babies to their death 🫠

Anyone know where this is? Clear violation of Section 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

You can tell a lot about a person's character by the way they treat animals.

We would go and watch all the birds that would build nests under my grandparents eaves in their house in Ireland. The nests would be there for generations of different birds because we never destroyed them. There was no need, I loved watching them fly in and out. Evil.

Timothy Day's profile picture

I should’ve replied earlier. I got seriously overwhelmed. Jfc Carmine? I’ve reposted someone’s video and have been overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Thankfully, it’s calmed down a bit. The best bit is that so many, overwhelmingly hated what they saw. We’re not so bad❤️

Carmine Fields's profile picture
Carmine Fields3 months ago

No worries. I secretly want more popularity but the rare times I get numbers like that, it’s also kind of a pain in the ass. I always worry that I’ll miss comments from my long-term friends and they’ll think “success” has gone to my head.

Timothy Day's profile picture
Timothy Day3 months ago

Exactly that. I have my friends who I love to see and hear from. We want the message to get out, without being lauded for it.

Report the cunts. Unlimited fine and up to 6 months in prison should see them not be so cunty in their future endeavours.

the shit does make a proper mess if the nest is above a window, it piles up on and stains window sills

John Truth's profile picture

Tell me you fucking have zero comprehension of how mentally torturing birds are when chirping. They sometimes unrelent for 24 hours straight. Imagine a high pitched car alarm going off randomly all day and night.

JFS's profile picture
JFS3 months ago

Destroying the nest now, when it’s full of fledglings who can’t as yet fly or survive outside the nest, is despicable and cruel. Either take steps to prevent them nesting in the first place, or leave them be for a few weeks, until their young are out of the nest.

Darren M Jones's profile picture

Yes it's illegal to destroy any birds nesting. But House Martins bring luck to any home the nest in. Destroying them works the other way. So you reap what you sow.

I've had starlings nesting in my roof edge for the past 6 or 7 years and glad to be able to see them and their young each and every year. Disturbing this House Martin's nest is despicable. 😡

Doug's profile picture
Doug3 months ago

We left ours to finish nesting. The mess below was bad but cleaned up with a jet wash. We were told, if they return next year, disturb them as soon as they start their nest. They'll move elsewhere. I felt ok the following year, they didn't return.

CrazyBlueDude's profile picture
CrazyBlueDude3 months ago

Absolutely disgusting ! This happened to my mother’s house and she absolutely loved the fact that the birds were there and they returned every year. Nature is beautiful, but some people only care about themselves, truly shameless people!
