The ANC notes the judgment delivered by the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court in Makhanda relating to the applications for leave to appeal and the Section 18(2) application arising from the earlier judgment concerning the establishment of the Eastern Cape Provincial Task Team. The ANC has exercised its constitutional right to pursue further legal recourse and will petition the Supreme Court of Appeal.

Cyril Ramaphosa says the ANC relies on the Eastern Cape and Limpopo as their pillars in elections. In fact Ramaphosa says he expects support to the tune of 80% and above in these two provinces. Meanwhile pit toilets characterise schools, townships and rural areas in Eastern Cape, an unemployment rate of 42.5% in the Eastern Cape under the ANC, Children are dying of starvation in the Eastern Cape. The people of Giyani in Limpopo still drink the same water with animals, the unemployment rate in Limpopo sits at 28.2%, the people of Polokwane do not have reliable water supply The list is endless feel free to add to it! The people of the Eastern Cape and Limpopo should not take this as a compliment - take this as an insult and a challenge. A person can not be so arrogant about support from people who are suffering the worst of poverty and lack of service delivery.
