When I tried to pay him, he politely refused. He told me he had been doing this voluntarily, helping people travel to and from Jantar Mantar because they couldn’t book rides. He had even been dropping people to the airport and to their homes, free of charge. This is what heroism looks like. This is also why the student and youth protest became such a success.
