I think we need the department of education to control what is taught in our schools! To review school books that are allowed and protect our public school System so that are children are taught the truth! Okay, you have cited the problem; now your job is to give solutions to the problem. What are you advising the schools to do? I also think you may be overemphasizing the validity of standardized tests. What test did you take to get the job you have?

What about a federal incentive for school choice? I don't know what that looks like. Hopefully people smarter than me can figure out how to do it. Tax-deductible elementary and high school private school tuition? IDK Whatever can be accomplished.
