Even if 'hate speech' had a legal definition, it is still protected speech. The Supreme Court cases Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969), U.S. v. Alvarez (2005), and Matel v. Tam (2017) leave no doubt that hate speech is protected speech. The 1st Amendment does not have a clause protecting any group of people from what they may consider hate speech. Government cannot infringe on that 1st Amendment unalienable right.
