📍 Vega City, Bannerghatta Road Take a look at the condition of this road. At first glance, it may appear to be a normal black patch, but in reality, the surface is completely damaged, filled with loose stones, mud, uneven patches, and crater-like potholes. This has turned what should be a safe public road into a serious hazard for commuters. The question every taxpayer is asking is: where is the tax money going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, fuel tax, and various other charges, yet basic road infrastructure continues to deteriorate. During the rainy season, these roads get flooded and resemble small lakes, making travel dangerous and difficult. When there is no rain, the situation is hardly any better, as loose gravel, broken surfaces, and potholes pose risks to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Bengaluru is known as India's technology capital, but many of its roads continue to reflect poor planning, delayed maintenance, and a lack of accountability. Residents are forced to navigate damaged roads every day while infrastructure projects and promises of development continue to dominate headlines. Do the lives and safety of citizens not matter? How many accidents, vehicle damages, and daily inconveniences must people endure before permanent solutions are implemented? Roads are not a luxury they are a basic necessity, and taxpayers deserve infrastructure that is safe, reliable, and maintained throughout the year. Karnataka State Police DGP KARNATAKA S. From Highway to Mud Pit: Uttara Kannada–Sirsi Road Turns Into Slush Nightmare Look at the condition of this road in Karnataka this is the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road. Thanks to our MLA, MP, and the state government for this worst kind of maintenance. What should have been a proper, motorable road has now turned into a muddy stretch filled with slush and deep potholes. This Uttara Kannada Sirsi road has become a nightmare for the public. Even buses are unable to cross smoothly, and bikers are struggling in the middle of the slush, risking accidents at every moment. Many vehicles are simply turning back because no one wants to get stuck or damage their vehicles. Local residents, daily commuters, school children, and emergency services are all suffering because of this pathetic condition. Where is the road? Is this what people pay taxes for? This is not just poor maintenance this is complete negligence. Authorities make big promises about development and infrastructure, but the ground reality on the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road tells a completely different story. Basic infrastructure like roads should be a priority, not an afterthought. The concerned officials and elected representatives must take responsibility immediately instead of ignoring the hardships faced by the people. The public deserves safe and proper roads, not this endless stretch of mud and inconvenience. #banalore #bengaluru #sirsi #uttarkannada 112 Uttara Kannada Deo UttaraKannada Ramalinga Reddy SP Karwar DK Shivakumar Siddaramaiah alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. Brand Bengaluru’ or Off-Road Adventure? Residents Slam Authorities Over Broken Roads At Hosa Road, near Rayasandra Circle, right in front of Mahaveer Ranches, the condition of the road has been appalling for over a month now. The entire stretch is completely broken, riddled with deep potholes, muddy patches, and craters big enough to swallow a scooter. For residents, office-goers, school buses and even ambulances, this has turned into a daily obstacle course rather than a public road. We keep hearing tall claims about “Brand Bengaluru” and the city’s transformation under the current leadership, yet basic infrastructure like roads continues to remain neglected for weeks at a time. Despite repeated complaints from citizens, no visible action has been taken to repair this stretch or even to provide a temporary fix to prevent further deterioration. It’s understandable that infrastructure projects take time, but leaving a key connecting road in this state for more than a months shows a serious gap between promises and ground reality. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and the civic authorities often talk about turning Bengaluru into a world-class city perhaps they could start by ensuring at least a drivable road for its taxpayers. “Brand Bengaluru,” really? If this is what branding looks like, maybe we should start advertising it as an off-road adventure park or a free test track for SUVs. DGP KARNATAKA S. The current state of roads in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India, is nothing short of alarming. Despite citizens paying hefty road taxes, the city’s infrastructure, particularly its roads, is riddled with massive potholes and craters, making daily commuting a nightmare. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the governing body responsible for maintaining the city's infrastructure, seems to be in a state of perpetual slumber, unable to address this critical issue due to sheer negligence and inefficiency. Is this truly the vision we had for "Brand Bengaluru"? A city that aspires to be a global tech hub, yet struggles with basic road maintenance? Instead of smooth, well-maintained streets that reflect the city's reputation as a leading IT capital, we have roads that resemble the surface of the moon. Such a situation not only tarnishes the city's image but also poses serious safety hazards to its residents, leading to accidents and injuries. The question that arises is: how long will the authorities remain indifferent to the plight of the people? Bengaluru deserves better, and it’s high time that proper accountability and immediate action are enforced to restore the city’s infrastructure to its deserved standard. Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru S. Why Hyderabad Drowns After A 20min Rain? I may not have a simple answer to this complex question but was in Raidurgam area yesterday and this what I saw. This is right next to the Raidurgam metro. It is like the IT hub of Hyderabad and look at the state of things here. Roads are being dug to lay drainage pipes. Locals told me it has been close to a year since they started digging. The debris is just lying on the road, existing drainage seems to be damaged and all the sewer is flowing on to the main road. To make things worse, many are parking right on the road making the congested area much more difficult to commute. There is no parking space at Raidurgam Metro. If someone wants to take the metro, they have to arrive on a separate vehicle to reach. Plus there are a million autos lined up on the road. Traffic police who hide behind trees or corner you in some random street won’t regulate traffic on the main roads. They won’t show a solution to park vehicles but will collect challans. Why are you collecting challans without any space being earmarked for parking? Do you expect people to jump off a parachute and get into a metro? We look at China, Japan with their advanced technology of laying roads in a day and will be wowed. Here governments talk about AI city, Future City and such money minting projects for the government and still get wowed. Why isn’t AI or advanced technology being used to repair roads, drainages or maintain infrastructure in the existing city??? Why this craze to call the existing city a dump and then pumping huge public money into a nonexistent Future City? Why is governance driven by real estate ambitions of a few politicians?
