Robotic ureteroureterostomy Following spinal surgery the patient developed a ureteric injury. After initial urinary diversion and IR recanalization she was referred to urology and underwent robotic ureteroureterostomy. Great team effort with محمد الخميس M Alkhamees and the entire MNGHA team.

Grateful to collaborate with Wattanachai Ratanapornsompong |วัฒนชัย รัตนพรสมปอง, Amr Elbakry, Jeffery Lin, MD 🏳️‍🌈 and team on this work. Single-port robotic non-transecting Y-V flap pyeloplasty + stricturoplasty for primary UPJO. Why it matters: Classic dismembered pyeloplasty transects the ureter and can compromise longitudinal blood supply — problematic if revision is ever needed. This approach preserves vascularity, widens a narrow plate with stricturoplasty when required, and relocates the neo-UPJ away from crossing vessels without routine transposition. SP platform makes it efficient. Early outcomes in 21 patients (median f/u 73 weeks): 95% success, 86% same-day discharge, no major complications. Short technique clip below 👇 Deeper dive and full cases: search “pyeloplasty” on my video library at Open access: How are you handling UPJO these days — still dismembered, or exploring non-transecting options? #Urology #RoboticSurgery #SinglePortRobot #Pyeloplasty

Kips Bay update; We have confirmed that NYU Langone now owns the site at 570 Second Avenue in Kips Bay and has for about a year. Along with my partners in government, I have written to NYU Langone requesting a dialogue with our offices and the community.
