What’s the best way to record demos?

With the new v125 update on Display, you can also record the display! Two ways: - On Display: swipe to left Settings panel, swipe down, tap 'Display Recording' - On Meta AI app: below your Glasses, swipe left the banner with 'Translate', 'Captions' and tap 'Record Display'

Thanks

Stuck on v124, do I need to join a program to get 125?

Don't worry it's coming soon, it's rolling out globally since yesterday. Keep checking over the next couple days and week, it should come soon.

I had to join the "Early Access" program in the Meta AI app, then the update appeared.

Built one. Love the agent skills, they made it so easy to get started

Very cool, reminds me of Nintendogs back in the days! Is that using Three.js? 😺

Great news! Now I just need an MRBD😅

Yess still US only, but maybe you can find some sold in Europe by individuals online :)

They want double the price here🥲 Hope to get them next time I'm in the US!

Is there going to be a simulator to test apps without the access to Displays? I really want to develop for those and i have a good app for it but feeling like buying gardware at this point is a bit of a waste.

For Web Apps, you can open the apps in your browser on your laptop. For Device Access Toolkit based integrations, no simulator at the moment that supports the Display. I recommend you start with the Web Apps then :)

Yes it’s just I already have the app and want to use it’s capabilities, not build it from scratch. Probably going to need and find myself a pair of Displays then 🙂

That's the only way :)

Is there any discord/telegram/whatsapp community for Meta wearable developers ? I'm having a hard time connecting a 3rd party app to my meta AI app and I can't find any place I can ask the question in

Coool!

The web app support makes it super easy to vibe code your ideas very quickly, you should love it!

Just checked the docs! love how lightweight the web app approach is 👏

I think this can work with this new tool that we released today!

I want one!

Only available in the US, but many are reselling globally if you look online :)

If I go to us, can I buy one?

I need this!!!!

Wow!!! That looks incredible

I would have liked these more if they were this but also has xreal like functionality. I dont wanna own multiple pairs of glasses.

@Turbolunch These are very different, I recommend trying them if you haven't already!

I had them :(

Omg! would love to try this

La mise à jour arrive au bout de combien de temps ? Certain utilisateurs l’ont déjà reçu, et j’espère que l’écriture neuronal est egalement dispo en français

I can’t wait to try new app on my Ray-Ban Display

Once you got the v125 update on your Display, you can try them :) If you haven't got it yet, should be coming to you very soon

Awesome! I've been waiting for a long time!

Excited to see what you build!

As a web frontend engineer this is so powerful to be able to use html/css/js

exciting news!

Congrats. Seen some videos made with web apps on X, and looks like glasses with display starts to become a real interesting "common" platform for users and developers.

Glad to hear! Internal teams have done an amazing job to ship those features, we’re happy to see such enthusiasm from the developers and Display owners.

I'd extend my mobile app before rebuilding for a heads-up display. Who's actually starting from scratch with HTML/CSS here?

Looking forward to check out what you build! 🕶️

Hell yes

Woooohoooo!

It's finally happening! 🕶️

K

This is huge! Wish I had a pair for development 🔥

You can start with Web App developement then and try them in your browser :)

Is there a store to publish the apps developed for the glasses? If I make a game for it, where is the game published?

@davidsven The engine seems WebKit. Is that correct? Do you know which version? I have lot of questions and suggestions... 🤔

@davidsven I am not sure we can share externally, if I can, will let you know :)

@davidsven Ok... It shouldn't be confidential as it's easy to guess and important to understand compatibility. I'll be in the bay area next week so I'll see if I can test one 😎😁

it would be cool to play AR games with friends theyre remote and see the same AR projected like jenga

metaverse should fully become part of Android XR. Play store will fix the missing piece for you.

Year and a half late
