On June 5 around 3:30 pm, Deputy Simmons was the first to arrive on scene of a house fire in the 6800 block of S. Franklin St. in Centennial. Setting aside her own personal safety, she entered the burning home and the home next door to evacuate the elderly residents. South Metro Fire Rescue responded and was able to put out the fire before it spread to even more homes. Deputy Simmons was treated for minor smoke inhalation. She was able to help save the lives of several people that day and for that we commend her and are thankful for her bravery. #selfless #bravery #courage

Ryne Simmons says he sent the video to the FBI believing he was helping, but was instead told to erase it from his phone because it might trigger PTSD. Dixon, a former VP of A&R at Arista Records who sued Reid in 2023 and accused him of sexually assaulting her twice when he was the president of Arista in 2001, spoke to the assembled press outside the courthouse. "I hope my work as an advocate for the Adult Survivor's Act helps to bring all of us closer to a music business that is safer for everyone," Dixon said. "And, in a world where good news is hard to find, I hope that survivors today see a ray of light peaking through the clouds." Reid's attorney, Imran H. Ansari, also addressed the settlement in a statement, saying, “Mr. Reid has amicably resolved this matter with Ms. Dixon without any admission of liability," according to the Associated Press.
