DEVELOPING: @rywlz, who recently bought an alley in SF's Sunset District, has to avoid a car driving down the alley while live on the show. Even though he's the alley's owner, he legally can't block it and is obliged to move.

But the other officers pulled the individual out the car he was apprehended with a gun that he had by the seat and drugs.

This man listed his car online for around $1200. He said the car has transmission problems and he was very clear about that. After he sold the car, the new owner drove off and the transmission finally went out on it and it broke down. The new owner felt like he was scammed even though he was informed up front that the car had transmission issues. The man offered him his money back and to take it back altogether but the new owner called the police because he felt he was scammed. Whenever you buy an older cheap used car it’s always as is, what was the new owner expecting to happen?

Mother fatally stabbed in a random attack while on her lunch break in downtown Detroit. Jaquoya Wix, 34, was taking a break in an alley behind her workplace when a suspect, who reportedly has mental health issues, approached her with a knife and stabbed her multiple times. With the help of a bystander and surveillance footage, officers were able to track the suspect to an area where they took him into custody. The alley where Jaquoya was stabbed is located about a block from the mayor’s office. Police have not released the suspect’s identity.

FSD Beta 12: The One Where It Parks Itself After consistently having the car either park itself into a stall (if my destination was a parking lot) or pull to the curb out of the roadway (if the destination was on a street), I experienced this… Set the destination to a random alley in Downtown Sacramento. The car pulls into the alley, driving slow. Based on my previous experiences earlier in the drive it appears to be looking for a spot. Seems like it couldn’t find one it could fit into. Instead of stopping in the middle of the roadway (how v11 would have performed) the car rerouted itself around the block and back into the alley. When it gets back into the alley, it immediately parks into a parking stall instead of proceeding all the way to the destination. This is EXACTLY what I would have done if I was driving. After seeing there was no parking spots the first time, I would have driven around the block and parked in the first available spot I could find. Whether or not this is what actually happened is up for debate. But based on the previous 5 or so tests I performed before this, it really does seem like it was looking for a spot to park. I’ll post the video of the entire drive with the other parking examples later on today. Maybe Elon Musk can chime in as to what happened here?

Rapidfire epic moments on FSD V14.3.5 1) FSD turns right into a small alley that only fits one car at a time, sees oncoming car, reverses out of alley to make space, realizes oncoming car is actually parking, re-enters alley. 2) Insane speed to vehicle cues. As FSD approaches the intersection at the end of the small alley, it yields for traffic, but at the SECOND the car to our left slows, it realizes they’re letting us go and executes with zero hesitation. You can see the nose of the vehicle on the far left side of the shot here to gauge reaction speed. 3) FSD approaches railroad traffic, clears the vehicle intersection, but stops shy of first RR track instead of queueing behind lead car, ignoring the human who decided to foolishly stop in front of the track. This is why I’m bullish. This tech is just a constant mindblower when you’re out here using it.

Took my first ride in a public Tesla Tesla Robotaxi today in San Francisco. Called it in an alley and the driver intervened after a few minutes of waiting to make a left turn out of the alley. He took a right manually and turned self-driving on again. The robotaxi immediately turned into the same one-way alley which prompted the driver to take over again. He did a u-turn in the alley manually and eventually the robotaxi was able to make the turn into the busy street. To interventions in what was supposed to be a 6-minute ride but took 15 minutes due to traffic. Not the best first ride but that's how it goes sometimes. I'm curious what this experience will be like after Tesla launches the service, especially with the Cybercab where there's no steering wheel or driver.

Like living in 2050 A Shanghai car owner bought two Unitree G1s and turned them into car washers. While they washed their cars, he sat next to them and drank tea. It was a wonderful atmosphere. But the cars weren't clean enough, so the owner had to do it himself. 🤣
