A man arrested in connection with the attempted kidnapping of a baby at Pike Place Market will not face felony charges, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. In an email to KOMO News, the prosecutor's office said that after further investigation, the Seattle Police Department determined the case did not meet the legal standard for a felony charge. CAUGHT IN THE ACT: On this final weekend before Christmas, the open air drug use and lawlessness continues unabated in downtown Seattle. Over the weekend, I was shooting video of a sunset over Pike Place Market. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dude tagging the building at 3rd Ave & Pike St. He did not give a rip and shoppers kept walking by like it was normal. Hopefully with a new common sense city council, Mayor Bruce Harrell will be able to get some funding for anti-graffiti kits so neighbors and biz owners can help wipe out the ugliness across the city. And let's start throwing these third rate graffiti artists in the slammer.
