I set up Gemini Spark to write my own weekly AI news digest for me, and I'm still stuck on how little effort I had to put in. Good Products are Opinionated. “Every great founder I’ve seen up close, or even from afar, is highly opinionated and they’re almost dictatorial in how they run things. Also, early-stage teams are opinionated. And the products they build are opinionated. Opinionated means they have a strong vision for what it should and should not do. If you don’t have a strong vision of what it should and should not do, then you end up with a giant mess of competing features. jack Dorsey has a great phrase: “Limit the number of details and make every detail perfect.” And that’s especially important in consumer products. You have to be extremely opinionated. All the best products in consumer-land get there through simplicity. You could argue the recent success of ChatGPT and similar AI chatbots is because they’re even simpler than Google. Google looked like the simplest product you could possibly build. It was just a box. But even that box had limitations in what you could do. You were trained not to talk to it conversationally. You would enter keywords and you had to be careful with those keywords. You couldn’t just ask a question outright and get a sensible answer. It wouldn’t do proper synonym matching, and then it would spit you back a whole bunch of results. That was complicated. You’d have to sift through and figure out which ones were ads, which ones were real, were they sorted correctly, and then you’d have to click through and read it. ChatGPT and the chatbot simplified that even further. You just talk to it like a human—use your voice or you type and it gives you back a straight answer. It might not always be right, but it’s good enough, and it gives you back a straight answer in text or voice or images or whatever you prefer. So it simplifies what we looked at as the simplest product on the Internet, which was formerly Google, and makes it even simpler. And you just cannot make a product that’s simple enough. To be simple, you have to be extremely opinionated. You have to remove everything that doesn’t match your opinion of what the product should be doing. You have to meticulously remove every single click, every single extra button, every single setting. In fact, things in the settings menu are an indication that you’ve abdicated your responsibility to the user. Choices for the user are an abdication of your responsibility. Maybe for legal or important reasons, you can have a few of these, but you should struggle and resist against every single choice the user has to make. In the age of TikTok and ChatGPT, that’s more obvious than ever. People don’t want to make choices. They don’t want the cognitive load. They want you to figure out what the right defaults are and what they should be doing and looking at, and they want you to present it to them.”

Democrats have spent the past month screaming about conditions at Delaney Hall not being luxurious enough for the illegals housed there. Well, we just toured the New Jersey State Prison in Trenton and found out maybe they should be focusing on state facilities in their own backyard instead! Democrats complaining about Delaney are total hypocrites when we saw their own state prison has an entire wing without air conditioning and with cells that don’t even meet basic American Correctional Association standards. Oh, and that food they always complain about? At New Jersey State prisons it’s worse! And the brave Corrections officers who put their lives on the line every day are basically forced to eat it too! That’s not counting the constant burning smell of K2 drugs drifting through the air. Liberal policies and lack of funding have created a constant stream of drugs and an underground market. We could barely breathe it was so bad. So to Governor Sherrill, Senator Kim and everyone else just blindly parroting the company line…. YUNJIN’s speech for LE SSERAFIM winning “Best Song Award” at the 2026 Seoul Music Awards & her story of “SPAGHETTI” 🤍 “Yes, winning the "Best Song Award" sounds like a testament to just how much love we have received, so we feel incredibly honored and grateful and we wonder if we truly deserve it. Our group is known for telling our own autobiographical stories. I never imagined that the idea I envisioned would turn into the track "Spaghetti" and receive so much love from all of you. "Spaghetti" is a song born from how fun I found the irony that there's a very fine line between love and hate and how you keep thinking about something even when you dislike it. Using that concept, the song uses the metaphor of food stuck between your teeth. It might actually be a slightly challenging concept for some people, so we are deeply grateful that you enjoyed it with us so much and the reason this award is so precious is because of all this immense love. But at the same time, it makes me think that, putting any "proof or testament" aside, there are so many amazing songs in this world and every single song is so precious and carries immense value. I hope none of us ever forget these two truths. I also believe there are so many incredibly cool groups in K-pop, and standing here today made me realize once again how truly wonderful it is that everyone brings their own unique stories to the table every single time. There was a parent who lost a child to the needle. Not lost to death, which at least lets you grieve and one day stop. Lost to the street. To the years of disappearing, the phone that stops being answered, the front door left unlocked every single night for a decade on the chance the child might finally come through it. I found the GOAT of blue collar builders. Scott Sans built goat tracking software with Claude Code and his story is incredible. Scott owns a land clearing company called Hudson Valley Forestry. One of their services is targeted grazing. Some slopes are too steep for machines, and some have high pressure gas lines underneath. So to clear the land, they bring in 60 goats and the goats clear the whole thing. But to scale, he needed a way to track the goats. And his current software said no to his goat module feature request. So he built the GOAT software himself... with no previous experience coding. You need to hear the full story from him. But one of the best parts of the conversation was when I asked him what the biggest impact has been since he started building his own software. "The more I build, the more I can be at home with my kids. And that's better for me." No software company would have built any of this for him. But Scott doesn't need a dev team anymore. He just needs the domain expertise.

Hind calls in to defend fantasist professor Jason Arday, then quickly turns to her own story as a self-described non-white academic who arrived in this country ten years ago, raised a child alone with almost no money, and somehow completed her doctorate. That should be a straightforward success story of individual grit and determination. Instead she immediately reaches for the race-based grievance script. She wonders out loud whether she was only hired as a “token”, insists “we really don’t want to be tokens”, and talks about “all the time feeling like we’re tokens”. She demands to be judged on merit while framing her own hard-won position through permanent racial suspicion. This is the core of modern grievance culture. You achieve something difficult despite the odds, then the first instinct is still to interpret it through identity and systemic doubt rather than personal agency. The “non-white” framing becomes the main character; the actual work and success get treated as secondary to the question of whether the system is still short-changing you. If you genuinely believe in merit, stop treating every achievement as provisional and racially tainted. Constantly defaulting to “we feel like tokens” doesn’t prove discrimination. It shows how thoroughly the race-grievance narrative has taken hold of the way some people are taught to read their own lives.
