'Devout Catholic' Stephen Colbert, whom Tim Keller once described as a "brilliant example of how to be a Christian in the public square" despite being a pro-choice, pro-lgbtq progressive, insists a Black queer woman portraying Jesus in a musical, is "long overdue." Story at

He is a devout Catholic the same way Tim Keller was a devout evangelical.

Tim Keller outed himself as a heretic, long before he died.

…whose last major role was playing a witch…

Two words describe @StephenAtHome HERETIC and BLASPHEMER! I say that supported by these verses: “A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bear excellent fruit [worthy of admiration]. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. [Ps. 6:8.] So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.” Matthew 7:18-24 AMPC

Keller did so much good, but toward the end he really seemed tainted by too many years within the culture.

How does Catholicism feel about all these Marxists being described as "devout Catholics". Does walking into a particular building make you "devout"?

He is a devout Catholic. That's how they are. There is a reason the church won't ex-communicate someone like Nancy Pelosi that spits in God's face with her actions. The church puts power and influence above all. They always have.

Clearly Keller was wrong.

It's just a name. Besides the Catholic Catechism specifically states that regular Catholics can't understand their own Bible. Even if Colbert read it (which he probably hasn't) He's not allowed to understand it.

If he’s Catholic, then I’m a flying nun with a Netflix special.
