@dhh The thing that stops the “flipping of the switch” is not Kubernetes, it is more that people rely on other AWS tooling, Secrets Manager, Lambdas, RDS. And then moving platforms becomes a significant lift. But yeah Kubernetes is not simple by any means.

@dhh The pitch about Kubernetes is not about let’s flipping the switch. It’s about not inventing own Kubernetes when horizontal scaling needed. You might never need such scaling, though. But if you need, there are not so many options for you w/o reinventing the wheel.

@dhh All of the cloud options that lock you in are cheaper than k8s hosted equivalents at a lower scale and often offer better performance and scalability. About those meetings... DHH should read this great book called "Rework", lol.
