At 98, Dick Van Dyke is still a shining example of sobriety. On the Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast, he was asked if his 1960s fame led to alcoholism. Van Dyke responded with a chuckle, “I don’t recall that it did. I’ve seen performers who needed a drink after the show, but I never did.” It seems Van Dyke managed to avoid both the spotlight's pitfalls and any lingering temptations.
