I mean, that latest speech of Traore... I was jazzed when he asked the public "do you know what Stockholm syndrome is?" They said no. Then he explained it. As a teacher, I felt so happy. And he was breaking things down, not just politics but also history. Even Tiani did the same in his interview, explaining history of 4,000 years ago and quoting Cheikh Anta Diop. It's amazing. What us Anglophone, God-save-the-King Africans don't get is how important it is for leaders to name the political philosophy on which they are basing their decisions. Kenyans call that work "useless to the market," or "theory" without solutions. (One of our cabinet secretaries said that about Traore last week). But when the AES leaders break things down like that, they help even me. They define the bigger picture that helps even me clarify what I'm doing and why, even when I feel like giving up. If you do another video on this, could you tell us what you think of the relationships between the presidents and the media (and these panel discussions that are so cliche)? I was shocked when you said Mr T didn't talk to Nigerian media during the campaigns.

Sure. Mr T never spoke to Nigerian media during his campaign. As for the media industry in Anglophone Africa, or across most of the continent, if you like, everything that guides the practice is not indigenous. The foundation for every communication is flawed already, so they basically serve as an extension of the imperial powers who control their leaders.

Like what is this fad with this talk show format, those panels, moderated by posh journalists, seated in sofas, and asking questions? Like the one where T was caught off guard? I can't stand them. Maybe the journalists are flattered to sit there and feel like Oprah or something.

That is the direct result of the training they have been exposed to over the course of their careers.

Dictators are those who refuse to give up their wealth to vampire corporations to plunder.

Who even started with the "Dictatorship" is bad 🤦♂️ we used to be ruled by Kings before the Imperialist set foot and they do well by their people. should we also say that our ancestors were ruled by dictators 🤷♂️ Fuck democracy!!

I didn’t ever imagine Nigeria will reach Paul Biya level. Our current Government is even worse than Cameroun Paul Biya.

Less than 17 comments and already one idiot here, unsurprisingly from Nigeria who has decided to embarass himself and his family on the world stage by doubling down on stupidity 🙄 Pay him no heed, he's mad!

I’m a Cameroonian and can say with certainty that we desperately need a Traoré in my country

They don’t hate dictators they hate functional leaders leaders who govern for Africans for their people and those who change the status quo , they have no problem with Paul Biya they had no problem with Mobutu . The minute you as a leader try to change your own you are an enemy

Ride on bro,,,Posterity will be fair to you🌹🌹🌹

From my observation, it appears that the so-called Dictators are Leaders while the Democrats are Puppets! Except I'm wrong...Even the USA is not a democracy but a Republic. I'll encourage us to watch this short video...

Dictator is a code-word for a leader who is independent of the collective west's dictates

Democracy is a farce. The earlier the people realize this the sooner changes begin.

The Dictators are those that told us who to call a dictator

I choose captain Traore's kind of dictatorship. Homeland or death ☠️

Nigerians head of state is a puppet who is controlled by a puppeteer

Thank God for social media. That was how they lied to the entire world and made movies about Idi Amin the Ugandan president tagging him a DICTATOR and the world bought it. same thing done to Gadaffi of Libya. Their game plan for electing the worst of us to lead us is exposed.

yes the same way he approved of this crypto thing going. I knew Tinubu can not think if this is thing on his own. He doesn’t have that capacity to think like that

No African leader is actually democratically elected. They wolf in sheep clothing.

They always want us to hate our leaders by calling them names and saying bad things about them and the one we can see clearly with our eyes that’s not a good leaders ourselves is the one that is good to them.

Gradually the senses of the sons and daughters of the land is beginning to work and it gonna work in the near future not far from now.

Men watching this makes me tired of this country

Obidiots you don't collect your monthly stipend to create content, can't you see a sharp mind and have you seen obingo interviews lately, if it was Peter obi on that stage he will be talking about Bangladesh or washing toilet, I would go for dead pbat than a million obi.

We the African continent love Ibrahim Traore

Very simple something my brother. I simply go with the Dictator or any other leader that reasons n behaves like the kind of Dictator in this instance!

A Dictator that puts the citizens first positively VS A Democratically Elected oppressor who is self centered and corrupt. Choose wisely.

This has always been the case, Lumumba, Sankara, and Gaddafi.

Quick question: Would somebody like Ibrahim Traore have been able to afford a 100-million-naira presidential ticket in Nigeria?

Nigerians have terrible dictator ls from 1999- 2026 They use all manner of bad governance to oppress the people from Poverty to insecurity

I will never be a fan of democracy

@MightiJamie are u guys brothers or?

You are 💯 right

He is a dictator because he has a mind of his own and the interests of his people matters to him. The good ones are the ones that serve the interests of the imperialist.

Just another one for those who care...

Democracy makes you think your best interest is at the heart of the leaders but its not. Democracy is fake, useless, dangerous and only benefits the western powers. Brunei has a king and their economy is far better than most on earth. Nigeria should be ruled by a king

What Hitler did for Germany can never be forgotten in history But he was painted a bad man, same with Gaddafi, abacha etc
