When Muni Stadium was sold off for parts, The Basement, a Flats club, bought the commode from his suite. A life sized replica of him was made, sitting w pants around ankles, briefcase, and $$$ strewn around. It was behind plexiglass, so people could cuss/throw things at the bum.

The NFL should have made him sell the team, awarded an expansion franchise to that chump in Baltimore and made him start over from scratch! Since he wanted out so bad.

"Coming to a dead end", as in he was out of money, needed to sell or get a handout, so he effectively did both on his way out the door to Baltimore. I wasn't a Browns fan at the time, but there's no better pro sports support than from the Cleveland fans. Terrific sports town.
