Are the Red Sox actually giving up high-end prospects? Because in all of baseball, not just for the Red Sox, are the ranking baseball. Anthony Eyanson, ranked No. 49 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100. Do you trade a 3-time All-Star catcher with a year of control for that? Or do you accept the 49th-rated prospect, along with 2 other prospects who are not even rated among baseball's 100-ranked prospects, for a three-time All-Star? The trade is a great trade for the Red Sox. Period. Be more forthcoming about how these potential minor leaguers are viewed and rated throughout baseball.
