Hey expert bros, Danny got £70m from Red Bull and Zak at the end there, he was treated fine.

I was just thinking that maybe he won't retire completely, maybe he will be back that's why he didn't have a proper goodbye. If this is it, then it's really sad and unfair.

@TomP1Bellingham Without a doubt! He deserved a better sending off! Did he deserved to be replaced? Yes, for that as well! 😔

He deserves better? Yes He had a better farewell that if he retired after McLaren? Yes Can RB do something about it now? Yes, they could organize something for next AUS GP. It is going to be too late? Yes

Do a poll for your followers!!

Danny deserved the world. Never met him as I live in the US. But it's obvious he's a good guy. He brings the good out of every driver he's paired with.

Yes, yes he did. Especially from the the Red Bull family. The guy even did more for the team this year than Checo has. If Max wins the title by 1 pts, Danny is WDC as well!

His fans have been toxic, which is ironic as Danny is a really nice guy

It's disgusting!! They have known 2 weeks before the Singapore GP that Danny will be out, and this is how they say goodbye to him! F you RB and Vcarb!

He got a 14 month extension in his F1 Career. It would have ended worse with McLaren when he was paid to leave. Unfortunately, this was the better route.

Hate for Redbull keep growing...

II still can't believe that he left Formula 1 forever, like that! It's as if something unexpected happened. It's like everyone was waiting for an agreement to be reached, but it didn't happen. Maybe they tried to get Daniel to accept a deal that was disadvantageous to him and

I started watching F1 bc of @danielricciardo on @netflix D2S & to see how @redbull botched this so badly, I’m not going to watch F1 or D2S again. Will still listen to P1 but I’m out on everything else. DR3 4EVER

100%

Yes. I get it, it's the right choice but they didn't have to be dicks about it. it's a perfect example of why i've never been able to warm to Red Bull as a team.

Yes

@TomP1Bellingham RB family gave him his chance, twice. They owe him nothing, he didn’t return the favour.

No.

"Nice guys finish last." is the expression that comes to mind... Ricciardo gets the boot while Lance Stroll has a lifetime seat. Let that sink in.

@redbull: the team that shafts every driver. And Marko now wants to keep @ricciardo in another role? Unbelievable. They have shot themselves in the foot with this one.

It’s not a disgrace he wasn’t good and he got dropped stop doing this just because he’s your friend when you’ve been calling for Perez to be dropped since last year

He's walking away with over $100M Hasnt made his cars better Hasnt made his teamates better I want to celebrate Daniels highlights but all you wankers wont get off this ridiculous they did him dirty take Daniel needed to drive better. Period

Since your commentary here, Helmut Marko has said the lack of a prior announcement was due to "obligations". I genuinely cannot imagine any obligations that would have prevented a prior announcement. Do you have any thoughts on that?

@TomP1Bellingham Yes. Agreed. But it was a pretty bad move for Red Bull to (a) think he could ever make it back to the big team given his several years performance and (b) was a developmental spot at RB

Yes. Absolutely yes.

no.. he was fired because of bad performance and didn't retire after a great spell at VCARB

Danny got FUCKED by RB & F1

Getting the boot just before COTA must be particularly hurtful. He definitely should've been dropped but would a whole season have been too bad?

Did Daniel earn his 7 million euros this year?

RBR is very poorly managed and toxic. How is Perez still at the main team when he isn’t very good

I fully agree that it was a disaster and unworthy, but I'm pretty confident it was down to a clause in his contract that protects him from being dropped if he's ahead of Yuki in the championship. Marko indicated on Sky Germany that a podium might change things (he's 12pts behind)

A reminder to everyone that it was Lando's speed in 2021/22 that put Ricciardo in the position and basically ruined his career

If they have just announced that Austin will be the last weekend of DR they wouldn’t have gotten this big of a backlash. This just turned out to be a PR disaster for VCARB and RB.

It's sport. Get over it, he was good, came back and didn't make an impact, send off after the season is over.
