Ethan was pretty good at Penn State when he took over for Drew Allar. PSU didn't have any WRs No PSU fan thought going into the season that Rocco was better than the Grunkemeyer

Franklin wasn’t gonna start him over a healthy Allar, same reason he started a guy like Liam Clifford over Koby Howard. Also Grunkemeyer started multiple games last season and never looked this good, combination of a year older and a different system/ new OC.
