Did everyone forget about #DunePartTwo?

This whole "released too early" gimmick is the most primitive & neanderthal logic I've ever heard. absurd to even consider not nominating Denis Villeneuve for Director.

It’s also the genre. Science fiction (and comedy), no matter how entertaining or well crafted, always seem to have a tougher climb to winning the big awards.

Golden globes is for woke idiot shit. Oscars is where they separate the weak from the herd. Dune 2 will get some top of the line noms. Definitely will garner way more below the line noms.

This clip PERFECTLY captures everything wrong with The Big Picture pod and shows why Fennessey is an absolute hack. The pod is all about Sean, Chris and Amanda’s priors. Any film outside their “bubble” is unworthy? Hacks. Get jobs that better suit you. Maybe bowling alley clerk?

It’s so annoying Dune 2 is being shoved away. Deserves to be rewarded on its own merits. Everyone might be thinking we will reward them for part 3, but what if part 3 isn’t good? I doubt that, but it could happen. Just reward stuff on its own merits.

It’s because Dune Part 2 is a sequel in a series. Usually it isn’t until the last film that it gets it dues in above tech categories. Look at Lord of the Rings. Since Dune Messiah has been announced.. voters are probably thinking they’ll award the franchise next time.
