Pain—like what it’s like to be burnt or whipped—is not a privation; that is, it has substance form and being. I cannot add health, wellness, or happiness to pain such that it is in itself good. Similar claims apply to be being depressed, full of dread, or having false beliefs.

What is the nature of an existence that is experienced entirely outside of time itself? Can a single decision that is made in a state of timelessness simultaneously affect EVERY point in time and space? Groundbreaking reconciliation of creationism with natural science.

That is a terrible apologetics argument, for what the bible clearly states.

Evil cannot exist w/o a free-agent to choose it in2 being. In willful choosing w/ malice, a desire to hurt, one becomes not just arbiter of evil, its vector, but evil itself, willful. #Christian theology posits #Satan, not just in absence of right order, but in 'beingness,' real.

An absense of God. Yes, sin has brought us death, His will be done, but we are still God's work, and His light will shine through.

This is St Augustine and is not an overwhelmingly useful theodicy. Even Augustine moved away from this idea later in his life. Privation is trendy but not theologically or philosophically viable if you explore it logically. Just do some homework on it and you will find most scholars today left privation theory long ago. Too many flaws.

This man's commitment to jibber jabber is unmatched 👏 Translation of Bill's meandering here: God allows "evil" to exsist within his creation by depriving the system of good. This is exact opposite balance God applies to his eternal heaven. It's a choice... a "positive" one.

If God created everything, then he must have created evil too. So, does that make him a really bad architect or just a misunderstood artist?

Good can't exist without evil, dark can't exist with light, positive with a negative, something without nothing, god created a duality based creation.

there is evil and there is good. WE must choose good and hope that one day evil will no longer exist. If not, if'll destroy the human race.
