@JesseBWatters You did great! When people say you can’t see it, I like to say “you can’t see the internet” that normally gets them.

@JesseBWatters I got asked this question at a party last night. My reply, “Bitcoin is a revolutionary tool to free humanity from monetary slavery - disguised as a get rich quick scheme.” That got people’s attentions.

@JesseBWatters Yeh, it wasn't great. You couldn't tell him that it's an open source, permissionless, borderless, decentralised network? The value is inherent and that's what you're buying into. Much like the internet.

@JesseBWatters I’d have just gone with: “It’s an asset you buy through a custodian like Coinbase/MSTR/IBIT. The asset has no utility, but a billionaire called Saylor is doing everything in his power to pump the price. So you just buy, hold, and sell for more fiat when you need liquidity.”

@JesseBWatters Bitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that has evolved into the best store-of-value asset and money for the modern world.

@JesseBWatters There is no simple way to explain it, but peoples' attention spans are too small to learn the thorough explanation.

@JesseBWatters The most basic explanation is bitcoin allows “verified ownership” of a currency to store and trade value. When you think about it it’s not really possible to guarantee or verify ownership of anything else as a 3rd party is needed or there is a counterfeiting risk.

@JesseBWatters We are in the digitisation of everything era. DVD - Netflix CD - Spotify Books - Kindle Gold - Bitcoin (Digital Gold) Digital is more efficient and wins everytime. Inevitable adoption. Everything physical that can be digitised will be digitised.
