What the Bible is explaining is that Jesus is explaining that He is going to the Father, and that His physical departure is necessary for the coming of the Holy Spirit. But He also explicitly tells them that they will see Him again

The book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John was an account of Jesus Christ by different persons. Individual writers wrote what he witnessed (Mark) or what he was told. It shouldn't be interpret in a serial reading like a book chapters.
