It's not, Sanskrit itself is the daughter of many more languages - the 'real' Sanskrit i.e. Vedic Sanskrit that predates Classical Sanskrit by atleast 300-400 years itself was the daughter of Indo-Iranian, the mother of both Sanskrit and Persian.
