Kenya Urban Roads Authority, Thank you for your quick response on the problem on 1st Parklands Road at Visa Oshwal. However, a more permanent solution to the problem, in the manner proposed in our letter is needed. Please, fix the water problem before re-carpeting the road.

They should consider using concrete on the stretch of road from Chiromo to Westlands, and from Westlands to Kempinski Hotel Nairobi to help prevent these kinds of problems during heavy rains. Someone can sit in a boardroom and approve such a plan on an already narrow busy road serving Nyali , Bamburi and onwards even Mtwapa Vipingo +++ Links Road is already too narrow for all the traffic due to all the new apartment blocks. A plot that used to house one residence suddenly has 80 apartments which means 100+ cars . Who needs a flower bed on a major road busy commercial street, links Road is now a commercial road. There is already a pedestrian lane then someone in his wisdom decides to place concrete flower beds ostensibly they think they are beutyfing the place. The 'nalas' around Yamuna are also filled with water, because of which the areas around Yamuna, especially ISBT, Ring Road, and ITO are facing waterlogging. Humans cannot control the flow of the water. We are constantly in touch with Haryana to ensure that they release the least amount of water so that the situation doesn't get worse. We are evacuating people in water-logged areas and transferring them to relief camps...Water has also entered several roads in Delhi as well. This is what happens when someone unblocks a road drain. The flood water disappears. It’s a shame that so many of local councils can’t be arsed to do this. Blame the local councils for blocked road drains causing flooding rather than on cow farts destroying the climate.

The OCS of Oljororok Police Station, Nyandarua County, has been caught on video breaking into a bar counter after the owner allegedly refused to pay a bribe. The OCS and two officers reportedly made away with stock worth over KSh 300,000 and 2 Keg pumps — which were never entered into the exhibit inventory and are now missing, likely sold.
