So 🤨 Ms. Jucay here 👇 had been talking to a guy for a few months. Now it was time for their first date. And she brings her 8…yes, I said 8…kids along with her. 😳 Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but my experience when dating as a single mom was to get to know the person first before bringing my 3 daughters into the relationship. This is a clip of "highlights" from 12 minutes of video of my body and dash cam footage from my visit to Canton Police station on April 15th, 2025. This has a much clearer picture of the interactions with Lt. Lank and Sgt. NO-Fucking-Goode (NFG). Also the footage of NFG slowly diving by my car after while I was just leaving the station. After "maybe getting a call" about my location, because I didn't turn my camera off quick enough. I have been trying to upload the longer version for a couple hours now so here are the highlights until the longer one uploads. In the next couple days I am going to watch the full testimony of these 2 and other Canton PD officers so I know who I'm dealing with and what the did or didn't do in the #KarenRead case. Should I livestream when I watch those officers testimony?

🧅FRENCH ONION CHUCK ROAST This is one of those meals that will make you feel like a chef. I love chuck roast, and this French onion soup twist on it came out so good. Chuck roast is a relatively inexpensive piece of meat and the oven does all the work. This time, I added caramelized onions along with the meat. Then covering it in a dusting of shredded gruyere to give it that French onion soup vibe. SO GOOD. Eat it as is, with some mashed potato, rice, or in between some sourdough. Ingredients 2.5lbs chuck roast 3 yellow onions, thinly sliced 4 garlic cloves 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp Worcestershire 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp tomato paste 2 cups beef broth Salt & Pepper 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 3-4oz finely shredded gruyere (or Swiss) Finely chopped parsley to top How to make it 1.First, season the chuck roast on all sides with salt & pepper. Set aside. make the caramelized onions in an oven safe dish. Add the butter & onions to a pan. Cook on low until translucent, stirring every few mins. This takes time, so just let it do its thing, & stir every 5 mins or so. Takes about 20-25 mins in total, but this step makes the entire dish. 3.When the onions look translucent, stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire, balsamic, & thyme. Stir well. 4.Add the chuck between the onions. Add the bone broth and garlic, cover with a lid (covered is important!) and cook at 350F for 3 hours. I tend to do 1 hour plus 30 mins for each pound. So if its 2.5lbs, put it in for 3 hrs. 5.Pull the roast out & shred using two forks. Stir so the onions & broth coat the meat. Taste and adjust salt and acidity. Put back in the oven at 425F for 30-45 mins. 6.Remove, top with finely shredded cheese, put back in the oven to broil for 2 mins. 7.Finish with finely chopped parsley for color. 8.Serve is is, over mashed potatoes, cauliflower mash, regular rice (or kaizen lowcarb rice), or perfect as a sandwich in between toasted bread. Mark Daigneault didn't call his first timeout in Game 3 until around halfway through the second quarter despite some big punches thrown by the Suns. I asked Mark about that decision and deciding to stick with his guys and allowing them to figure it out on the fly. “I trust our team, and if we can't handle tough situations, then we're not gonna do very much. So we gotta be able to fight through it, and we did. Doesn't mean I'll never call a timeout. But I thought coming on the road it was good just to get a little exposure to that and have to grind through it and the guys did a great job of it today.”

This is Bubba. Bubba is 16 years old. Before coming to Layla’s Heart Ranch and Rescue, Bubba lived through severe abuse for 16 years. We were told he was beaten… even body slammed into the ground. He has always been terrified of people. Truthfully, I am really the only person Bubba trusts. But yesterday, something happened. Bubba got out and ran all the way to my house… then sat outside waiting for me. And for the very first time… Bubba walked on a leash. Sure it took 30 mins to go maybe 100 feet and part of that I had to army crawl to get him to keep moving, but he did it! He has never let anyone do that before. This is the same dog who once flinched at human touch. The same dog who was too scared to trust the world around him. Now he rolls over for belly rubs. Gives kisses. And looks for me when he’s scared. He’s elderly, so we don’t know how much time we have left with him. But my heart is full knowing that after all these years…Bubba finally knows what love feels like. What safety feels like. Maybe some people won’t understand why this video matters so much. But in rescue, these moments are everything. Especially now. I haven’t been fundraising the way I normally do after losing Tuxedo. Truthfully, I’m still trying to function through the grief. But the animals still need us to keep going. We are trying to raise $15,000 for May operating expenses: dog food, vet visits, utilities, kennel and sanctuary payments, and continued care for animals like Bubba who deserve safety, patience, and love for the rest of their lives.
