She was right. If she’s mispronouncing it, you laugh correct and move on with the conversation to see if she has a valid point. You don’t use the pronounciation as the cornerstone of dismissal. As it is appropriate to add to the context of the conversation. It’s better to move on

For someone who has a clear and serious speech impediment, (who I’m sure was bullied to no end about) it makes NO sense that you would make fun of someone mispronouncing A word. Taking out your insecurities and childhood trauma on others is bottom feeding behaviour. Seek help.
