Did some local avoidance optimizations and now AI can navigate through forests really well. I'm so happy about how good this looks.

What happens when you combine every AI? It's time for something better than ChatGPT...

Looks really nice! How did you do it? Checking every tree in a chunk?

I was going to do something like that, but the existing approach using whisker raycast to check and apply forward just works now.

Nice! I’m new to the path finding/navigation stuff. Can I ask what algorithm/approach you’re using here?

Navmesh for getting a path to a location, then local avoidance using raycast/whiskers to turn and avoid obstacles in the direction of movement.
