Yesterday, in Matete Town, Sembabule, this worker was not performing his duties, instead, he was busy taking down posters of Mzee. The 60 athletes drawn from the membership of Uganda Olympic Committee/ Commonwealth Games Uganda and Uganda Paraolympic Committee revealed that they not only enjoyed the workshop but found it very educational meeting their expectations. Museveni: International Organisations Don’t Want Africans To Have Too Much Electricity In this 2004 speech at the opening of the 5th General Assembly of African Ministers of Water (AMCOW) in Entebbe, Uganda, Uganda President Yoweri Museveni recounts how international (read “Western-aligned”) organisations discouraged him from building two dams in his country simultaneously, because according to these organizations, it is dangerous for Africans to have “too much electricity”. This anecdote is not surprising. The West has never had any interest in seeing Africa’s 1.5 billion inhabitants reap the benefits of their vast, cheap energy reserves. It would sooner have African nations waste billions worth of their GDPs to clean up its global carbon footprint and transition to inefficient, “green” energy alternatives controlled by its corporations, while it continues to use Africa’s vast, cheap energy reserves to give its own people “too much electricity”. But Africa’s resources belong to Africa.

Title: How Much Has Uganda Lost? Yesterday in Bundibugyo, I saw the shocking remains of Tokwe Bridge, reportedly constructed at a cost of 350 million, yet found without basic steel reinforcement. The bridge collapsed before it could even be commissioned. And this is not an isolated story. Over five bridges have been washed away in Bundibugyo. How much public money has Uganda lost in this madness? What does Uganda need? President Yoweri Museveni has done his part for Uganda, but we as leaders and citizens have let him down. Government provides resources for infrastructure and services, but corruption, poor supervision and shoddy workmanship continue to rob our people. Let everyone involved answer. Where did the money go? Who designed, supervised, certified and paid for these works? Who approved them? Who benefited? We must establish the facts, recover every lost shilling and hold those responsible accountable. Whoever ate even a cent meant for these bridges will vomit it. The era of eating public funds is over. Zero tolerance to corruption. Value for money. Improved service delivery. Uganda must work for Ugandans.

Weekend was well spent at Mukyeya Organic farm in Buyaga West Constituency. I am a lawyer and a politician, but President Yoweri K Museveni inspired me to go into agriculture and Iam practicing it with passion. As you can see in the video, that's a demonstration farm for goats and another farm for Hass Ovacado and I want our local people to visit this farm for learning purposes! These young people had been misled, but I am glad they have now seen the light. Tshwane-owned water tankers are on the road providing water to residents. We recently announced that we are abandoning contracted services for water tankers. From 1 April, City staff have been working to provide water to residents in need. We visited Hammanskraal hydrant collection points this morning along with Ward Councillors and MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo. While work is underway to stabilise water supply through infrastructure maintenance and repairs, residents must continue to receive adequate water supply. All these efforts form part our Water Stabilisation Plan that’s backed by funding from the City’s budget. City of Tshwane

It seems main Reason Asheville has not water is because the main water line that brings 2/3 of the water from the Laurel Ridge, Black Mountain reservoir is badly broken in different parts. On top of that the pumping stations are damage or without electricity. That why World Central Kitchen we are bringing 5 water trucks for distribution…contributing to efforts to have everyone with access to water..#ChefsForNorthCarolina

The Uganda Olympic Committe in partnership with the Lesotho National Olympic Committee have organized the Olympism Forum taking place from 14-16th August in Maseru, Lesotho under the theme ‘Ubuntu’ The initiative seeks to bring young people together to discuss the contemporary issues of sport and the power of sport in building identity for the African continent. They will engage these issues through public speaking , debate , poetry , essay writing and quiz . They will compete with teams from Eswatini, South Africa, Bostwana and hosts Lesotho., Uganda will be represented by a team of five students namely ; Melvin Tayebwa ( Kabojja international school), Claire Nyapendi ( Seroma Christian high school), Trevor Mutegeki (Baptist high school), Jeremiah Atwiine (Muntuyera high school) and Peace Nyafwono ( Nabisunsa girls secondary school). I had the pleasure to flag them off yesterday. This initiative is in line with the UOC strategic mandate of promoting Olympism as a philosophy and increasing access opportunities to young people through education . Uganda’s first Uganda Connect Hub in Serbia, opened by H.E. Yoweri K Museveni, was conceived as more than a promotional space. It was a practical way of putting Uganda in the market, visible to buyers, investors, tourists and partners. Today, Serbia has four Uganda Connect Hubs, and the country has increasingly become a gateway for Uganda into the wider Balkan region.
