This is exactly the problem. There is no shortage of creativity or brilliant engineers the problem is that so much talent gets absorbed by huge corporations & institutions. They pay these brilliant minds extremely well, but their creativity ends up serving the corporation instead of challenging it. You can have an incredible new idea, but if it threatens an established industry or doesn’t benefit the powerful players, it can be extremely difficult to get support. We don’t lack geniuswe often lack a system that allows independent genius to flourish.
