Did you know that 1 in every 22 black men in America will commit murder in their lifetime? Black men, who make up only 6% of the population, commit 51% of the murders in America. Black men are nine times more likely to commit a violent crime than the... general population in the US. Horrific. How did we get here? One glaring data point shows a catastrophic cultural difference between black men and the rest of the American population: Fatherlessness. Nearly 70% of black babies are born without present fathers. 64% of black children are raised by a single parent. There are about 9.5 million Black children under 18 in the US and roughly 6.1 million live in fatherless households. Kids without fathers are far more likely to live in poverty, half as likely to graduate college and twice as likely to end up in prison. 70% of juveniles in state facilities come from single-parent homes. There is your fatherlessness to criminal to prison pipeline. But how did this happen? Prior to the "Great Society" welfare programs of the 1960’s only 9% of all American children were raised without fathers. After passage, the numbers exploded: By 1970, 30% of black children were growing up fatherless. By 2021, that number had skyrocketed to over 60%. Federal welfare policies and government incentives systematically encouraged single-parent households. Fatherlessness is killing America. In America, social and economic programs were created by the system to remove men from the community and household since the 20th century. The black community in America absolutely has a problem with fatherless homes. Millions of black males are being raised by single mothers who DO NOT have adequate maturity in emotional regulation. So you have millions (Not all) of black women raising boys who DO NOT know how to properly regulate their emotions. These boys then become dangers to society. Men who do not know how to regulate their emotions are DANGEROUS. The first step in solving the problem is admitting we have one. Which we do.

The vast majomajority of Black men in America held down Vice President Harris. Now I know any time I defend Black men it’s going to create friction because some people want to highlight everything they don’t like about Black men. I think there are Black men pleading with Democrats to stop diminishing the role of Black men. There are Black men saying we have specific policies we want to see. There are Black men saying before we give support we want conversation. When those men are ignored, some of them choose to rebel. You can ignore what I’m saying, but I’m a man who talks to brothers every day. If we are going to build a path forward, it’s going to be rooted in Black people men and women having equitable footing. That’s how we collectively improve our quality of life. There are men who struggle with women in leadership, but the vast majority of Black men showed twice now that we don’t. We simply don’t want to be diminished while we do it. The majority of Black men will always stand with Black women, the same way Black women have always stood with us. The more we highlight that, the stronger it becomes. They want to divide us, and the more we feed that, the more it works. Numbers don’t lie, most Black men know what is at stake and act accordingly.
