A feeder is a great place to provide food and clean water for your visiting hedgehogs. It keeps the food dry and safe from stealing cats and contagious slugs, and is a secure haven for the hedgehogs. A tummy full of food takes a hedgehog about 2 hours to digest, so where better to have a little nap and let that dinner go down, than in a nice safe dry feeder? During natural disasters we get to see a different side of many domestic and wild animals as they may be displaying somewhat rare behavior. Some of them survive and some of them don’t. Here is a thread showing examples of that. Birds have it somewhat easy. They can sense when a hurricane is coming through even the slightest environmental changes(barometric pressure, temp, wind speed etc). You can sometimes see them in the same areas communicating with one other before a hurricane or bad storm hits
