I'm excited to announce we have achieved our Tier 1 mission success criteria and have begun gathering a tremendous amount of data on how this brand new spacecraft performs. On March 30th, 13:17:08Z, the Gravitas spacecraft separated from the SpaceX Transporter-16 stack to begin its mission as one of the highest power free-flying satellites ever launched. Immediately after separation, the spacecraft autonomously: - Executed detumbling maneuvers - Established two-way communications with the ground (on our very first ground station pass) - Deployed its 20kW solar arrays - Slewed to a safe and stable attitude to await further ground commands These actions alone are a testament to the incredible work of our in-house engineering, software, and GNC teams to build a robust spacecraft. Since then, our operations team completed all initial system activations and checkouts, confirming the vehicle is in a power positive and thermally stable state with no major anomalies observed at this time. We completed this phase of the mission ahead of schedule. Next up we will be powering up and downlinking data for all payloads aboard the Gravitas spacecraft in support of our customers and partners while continuing to put the spacecraft through its paces. As we noted ahead of launch: The goal of this mission is to experiment and push our systems to the limit to inform future missions. You may have heard NASA Artemis II is going back to the moon with 4 Astronauts, the 1st time humans have travelled that far in almost 54 years! If you follow me & many others in the space community, you already know about this historic mission, but I have a request ... please help spread the word to everyone you know and even repost this or send the link to your friends or family that may not know. We need to help NASA get the word out to as many people as possible and be sure they are aware we are at the very beginning of the 2nd golden age of space, starting with this mission as early as 1 April ... and this time, we are going to the moon to stay!

Farewell to International Space Station! This is truly a special place, special mission, and special team that makes it happen. It is a bittersweet departure today – I have a keen awareness that I may never be back here, and even if I was, it would be at a different time with a different crew. This chapter is over. Spaceflight has always been a life goal, and it has turned into a life-fulfilling endeavor – but not for the reasons I thought growing up. When I was young, I pictured the launch, the incredible ball of fire and the acceleration, the spacewalks (how could you not wonder what it’s like to be in that suit?), and I was fascinated by the shuttles, capsules, and stations. But as I complete this second mission living and working in space, what draws me to this job is the people. Experiences like this are amazing, but the relationships we build that make it possible are the “why.” Every day, this mission depends on people from all over the world, of different nationalities, races, religions, and cultures. It depends on government and commercial entities, it depends on all political parties, and it depends on commitment to an unchanged goal over many years and decades. It depends on people dedicated to being part of something bigger than themselves, whose names may never be known but who wake up every day to make the world a better place and to be part of something they will be proud to tell their grandkids about. History will look kindly upon them. Humans have always had a propensity to explore … across lands and oceans, up mountains, and into the sky. We as a species will never stop wondering what else is out there, and what it would be like to go. But then, in the words of TS Elliot, “…at the end of all our exploring, will be to arrive where we started, and know the place for the first time.” Crew-10 is on its way home.

📌 CanYamanForChildren IG Post Ours are not just promises, but facts. The ones that we all committed to creating together when #CanYamanForChildren was born. The same is the mission of the "#BreakTheWallTour": to help the Institute of Child Neuropsychiatry of the Umberto I Polyclinic, an internationally recognized excellence which, however, needs an important structural intervention because, unfortunately, as we all know, no realities of this type always get the attention they deserve. We therefore committed ourselves with the management of the Polyclinic to creating a project that would make the Institute more comfortable, so that its guests, children and teenagers, would find some of the warmth they need to face their battles. The project is large and challenging. Soon we will let you know about everything we are about to accomplish. It took some time for industry experts to create the project for a department that will be completely rebuilt, but we are almost ready to show you what it will be, explaining in detail what we are about to do. All together! Today with this video we want to tell you something else: at the beginning of this summer they told us that the recreational space was now dilapidated. We have therefore made a further commitment: to completely renovate it so that the time that the young patients and their parents have to spend in that place is a little more peaceful. Kids today call it "the park"! The first step of a great mission. Today the kids understood that there is someone next to them. It is because of that 3.4 lakh people of Thiruvananthapuram came out and supported us, which is a record in itself. As I said on 5th March when I came here, it is my mission to transform Thiruvananthapuram, and I stand by it. My commitment to the city is not only through the prism of elections; it is something that I have made my mission, and I will certainly be here to serve the people for years to come.

Greg Brockman talks about when OpenAI first realized that AGI can't be achieved with "Non-Profit" status and the decided to abandon its Non-Profit roots. "In 2017, we started to think very hard about, first of all, how do we really achieve the mission? How do we actually build an AGI? What will that look like? And we started to do the math on compute. You start to realize that it is going to take a big computer. We came across a company called Cerebras, which was building a unique piece of computing hardware. The kind of computer that they were promising, we realized, was going to be far advanced from where our compute calculations looked. As you start to realize, if we could buy a lot of those computers, we could actually probably succeed at building an AGI. If we could get exclusive access to Cerebras, that could give us an overwhelming advantage. If we could buy very large data centers, that could be something unique as well. The thing about nonprofit fundraising is that I think there is essentially a cap to what is possible there. And so Elon, Sam, Ilya, and I all agreed that the only path forward for OpenAI, and the only path to achieve the mission, was to create a for-profit entity associated with OpenAI in some form.
