Coaching from the stands is disrespectful to … Your kid!! The best players can figure out solutions on their own, they don’t need help from the stands. Each game is an opportunity for players to learn how to do that. Yes, they will fail, but they will learn. And ultimately they will be a better player because of it. Shouting instructions from the stands only shows that you don’t believe they have the ability to make adjustments, and you aren’t good with failing so they can grow.

BlackRock’s former Head of Crypto explains how he pitches ETH to Wall Street “The first thing we do is explain the Ethereum opportunity. Stablecoins, which are today about $310 billion, are going to trillions. Tokenized assets today are about $32 billion and going to trillions as well. Institutional DeFi adoption is happening like we’ve never seen before. We’ll get to agentic in a minute, but explaining to them — and they agree wholeheartedly — that the Ethereum ecosystem is going to be the future settlement layer for finance is the first step.” After explaining that Ethereum is going to be the global world ledger, Joseph Chalom, who is now the CEO of the $1.5 billion Ethereum treasury company Sharplink, talks about ETH the asset: “As the Ethereum ecosystem grows, you need more Ether to secure and settle these transactions. Therefore, Ether ends up becoming a trust commodity. We start with the principles and fundamentals . . . What we don’t do is make up numbers and talk about short-term price predictions for Ether.” The other thing Joseph does not do is compare Ether to Bitcoin. “The second narrative that people use typically is that [Ethereum] is ‘little brother’ to ‘big brother’ Bitcoin and that ETH is just some relative coefficient of the value of BTC and they need to trade together. What we’re trying to explain is that there is intrinsic value and Ether is going to be the trust commodity that is going to secure the future of finance . . . The number one thing to do is not make up numbers. And then number two, [Ethereum] is not a derivative of Bitcoin. It has intrinsic value to the future of the financial system.”

What predators do in gaslighting people is they feel they have some kind of power in being able to lie to their face -- and have the person that is being lied to know that it's a lie. Can one person change the culture of an organization? Yes. We all know that can definitely happen in a negative way. One person can shift the energy of a room, school, or an organization, to make it worse than what it was before. The opposite can be true as well. I saw individuals shift the culture of entire rooms in moments by bringing their energy and people fed off their enthusiasm, and the dynamic of the culture changed in moments. We often discuss culture like it’s someone else’s responsibility but culture is made up of people. And eventually that one person who can bring a positive light to an organization can diminish their own. No matter how optimistic, joyful and passionate a person can be, never assume they are “good.” Check in on people even when they seem like they don’t need it, because often they do. One person can move the culture ahead in a positive direction, but that individual might also need your energy to keep them going. Education is about elevation and whether you are positive or negative, it is contagious? Which one will you be?
