True! There is not much true olive oil to export from here. Also the price is kept artificially low internally to Italy and difficult to sell (my family does it). But you see tons of it exported. Just impossible numbers.

There’s a huge difference between olive oil and EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. You want the later and it should be single source like Greece, Spain, Italy. Just olive oil means that it’s mixed with other oils. 😊

The best olive oil is the Italian extra virgin olive oil. It is so famous that fake versions are increasingly produced that attempt to imitate the original. The mafia he's talking about often produces in the USA itself. Check the label and origin.
