All these challans are mostly paid when people sell their cars,they don't check parivahan website before that....just like income tax we need a mechanism where demand is sent by emails and on phone numbers and start adding interests!!

Challans are right. But when? Driving 61kmph in a 60 zone attracts fine, but driving 20kmph at the same 60 zone has no repercussions? There is always a +-5kmph buffer allowed, but not in India! Most accidents happen due to E-rickshaws, illegal tuk-tuks, tractors on highways!

Here it is worth separating the pending dues between passenger cars, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. Only the first category is targeted and even harrassed, while others get away with nothing.
