Diljit Dosanjh says, “I want Amritsar Sahib to be announced as a dry state, like Gujarat.” He also suggested starting a campaign for a “Dry State” and requested the administration to declare a “Dry Day” on the day of his concert. He stated that he will not sing songs about alcohol. During his concert in Ahmedabad, Diljit Dosanjh announced that he will never sing about alcohol if all the states in India declare themselves as “Dry States.” He added that he does not consume alcohol and has never endorsed it. Norm Macdonald was the absolute master of being hilariously inappropriate in settings where everyone else was playing it straight. His appearance on The Larry Sanders Show is a perfect example of his timing and ability to completely derail a "serious" celebrity interview with the most absurd, uncomfortable, and dry observations. The way he manages to turn a conversation about homelessness into a bizarre, wandering bit about a dog is genius. He knew exactly how to make the other guests and the host, Garry Shandling, visibly squirm. Norm: "I see one guy there the other day in New York... had a dog with him. And that's tough. Do you feel sorry for the... for the dog, you know?" You really couldn't write comedy this dry; he was just on another level.
