Yes. When I started in policing in 1970, we were carrying the Colt Police Positive Special. I had failures shooting on the range due to a bent ejector rod that caused the cylinder to fail to rotate. Glad it happened at the range. Shortly after we changed to S&W Military & Police which was a huge improvement. By then speed loaders were available for much faster reloads compared to the prior loop carriers. In the mid eighties we changed to the Glock 17, & that was revolutionary compared to a six shooter. Having learned to shoot on a double action revolver made shooting a striker fire pistol a dream come true. Tremendous difference in trigger pull & magazine capacity.

Yep. Model 10 in police service many moons ago. Double action only. There’s something intangible about them. I was hooked from day 1.
