Did You Will Your Physical Birth?

This is a flawed argument because it is taking something that is a type or analogy and demanding that the two be equal in all points. Its the similar argument to comparing baptism to circumcision. The type teaches us something about the antitype that it points to. It is a tool for helping us understand, but it is not equivalent in all respects. No more than the Flood or the crossing of the Red Sea or Naaman as types of NT water immersion are equal in all respects to that NT water immersion. Romans 6:16 is very clear that we choose to submit to sin or righteousness and in submitting to righteousness (through baptism) we are freed from sin (vs 17-18). While we make the choice to submit to the will of God by believing in Him, repenting of our sins, and confessing Christ before men, it is God that does the saving when we get in the water (Col 2:11-13). So we choose to get in the water knowing God saves us when we are there. The mistake you are making is similar to that which Nicodemus made back in John 3:4.

Didn't you see Chiitan's precious bell?

Even Augustine says that the God who created u without your will, doesn't save you without your will.

God calls you to repent and believe => you use your free will to believe => God wills your spiritual rebirth. You see how your polemic doesn't make sense as a critique of our view? You assume that we are spiritually rebirthed in order to have faith. We assume the converse.

Dude is a weirdo

Hey Keith, The actual choice God has decreed that every man make for himself is LIFE vs DEATH. It isn't whether or not to be born. Deuteronomy 30:19 NASB95 - 19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, This passage in Deuteronomy 30 directly contradicts the heart of Calvinism: "By predestination we mean the eternal decree of God, by which he determined with himself whatever he wished to happen with regard to every man. All are not created on equal terms, but some are preordained to eternal life, others to eternal damnation; and, accordingly, as each has been created for one or other of these ends, we say that he has been predestinated to life or to death." (John Calvin, Institutes for the Christian Religion, 2207) Even a dead man can choose life. The Bible explicitly records this. Genesis 20:2-3, 7-8, 14, 17-18 NASB95 - 2 Abraham said of Sarah his wife, "She is my sister." So Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, "Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married." ... 7 "Now therefore, restore the man's wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore [her,] know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours." 8 So Abimelech arose early in the morning and called all his servants and told all these things in their hearing; and the men were greatly frightened. ... 14 Abimelech then took sheep and oxen and male and female servants, and gave them to Abraham, and restored his wife Sarah to him. ... 17 Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maids, so that they bore [children.] 18 For the LORD had closed fast all the wombs of the household of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. Abimelech intends to sin (God judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart). God comes to him and says, "you ARE a dead man" (present tense) for taking Sarah. If Total Depravity were true, it would now apply. God then gives him the choice between life and death. To choose life he must repent by restoring Sarah. He greatly fears death, so he choose life and repents. However, these do not regenerate him. To be regenerated, he must go through Abraham's covenant relationship with God. Abraham prays and God Himself regenerated Abimelech and his household. Matthew 9:5 NASB95 - 5 "Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, and walk'? The story of Abimelech is a gospel story. Abimelech's sin (intending to commit adultery with Sarah) was forgiven resulting in his regeneration from death. This was 400 years before The Law, so this forgiveness and regeneration was apart from the law. What does Paul tell us about the choice between life and death in Deuteronomy 30? Romans 10:6-8 NASB95 - 6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down), 7 or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)." 8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART" that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, You don't need God (the Holy Spirit) to come down from heaven to make you hear the gospel and obey it... and you don't need to be regenerated from the dead (the abyss) to hear the gospel and obey it. That is how the righteousness based on faith works, and that was the gospel they were preaching. You are able to choose life without these.

Come on, Keith. Even a Calvinist knows the difference between apples and oranges in the produce section of the local grocer.

"TONIGHT" 🤣

Well put 👍🏻

I understand it but we still choose. We choose because He chose us. Had He not chosen us, we'd still be choosing a life of sin and debauchery. When you say there's no Free Will, when it's clearly demonstrated in the Bible, it confuses people. We aren't robots.
