My best advice to the Bears is not to rush Caleb Williams return to the lineup. Why? Williams was in noticeable discomfort prior to the play he got injured in the 4th quarter. At the end of the 3rd quarter, I was concerned something was wrong with his back after the two shots he had taken (one looked like whiplash). The look on his face at the end of the 3rd quarter said it all. When he went down on the non-contact injury in the 4th quarter, I immediately thought back to what I was seeing with Williams earlier in the 3rd quarter. Chicago Bears NFLPA 🎥

Brock Purdy on his favorite play in his career: “It was the game before the NFCCG against the Packers. We didn’t play the best on offense, but we needed this drive at the end of the game to go up. It was a 3rd down play and it was Brandon Aiyuk over the middle. We call it Gucci. It was a 6 step slant, cross the nickel’s face. It was man to man coverage, and it was on time. This was the hardest lift I've ever done a 720 Yoke walk. To put in perspective... someone who is good at this lift would complete the movement in 11-15 seconds it took me dang near a min! Remember it like it was yesterday... I was battling out for a top 3 spot with some great lifters. The guy who was placed ahead of me was way better at this event then me. He RAN with the weight... but dropped it once... (not a big deal... you get 2 drops...) Picked it up quick and stumbled and dropped again! He was trying to catch the the second place spot. I knew this was my worst event and wasn't going to win it. BUT... if I made it down I would position myself in 3rd place going into a couple event I was good at. I struggled..... getting this thing down there. But did. It was the most proud I even been doing a lift. Even more then squatting 700. This took everything in me! Ended up placing 3rd in the event largely due to not giving up on this lift.

Texas A&M HC Mike Elko - Building Defensive IQ for Winning Situational Football "It starts to me with you have to develop football 101 in your defense. You've got to take a step back & you've got to build some level of general football knowledge in your defensive unit. It's sometimes the things that can save you when you don't call the perfect defense/scheme. Down & Distance Understanding... 2nd & 7+ - We have won 1st down... The offense is now trying to get themselves back in favorable positions for 3rd down. Here the battle is for half the yardage. - Offensively you will see a lot of RPOs, Quick Game, Screen & Draw. This is not a down where you will see a lot of high risk types of offensive plays. - Defensively we play this down & distance like a 3rd down off 1/2 the yardage... (2nd & 8 is like 3rd & 4, 2nd & 14 is like 3rd & 7) 2nd & 4-6 - We have lost 1st down. Now we must make a play on 2nd down to try to re-create an advantage for 3rd down. Success on this down is similar to 1st & 10. We are looking to hold them to 3 or less. - This is a down where the offense usually sticks to their strengths. Again, they are looking for a low risk play that will keep the chains moving forward. - For us we call this D&D no different than 1st down. 2nd & 1-3 (Waste) - Thus for the offense is known as a waste down. This is a D&D where the offense is likely to take a deep shot because they are in a favorable position for 3rd down. - Offenses will try double moves & max protection shot plays a lot on this D&D - For us on defense, this is a big zone pressure down. Gives us a chance to create a negative play and regain the advantage on the sticks. Also closes the middle of the field to protect us on the shot plays.

This sequence was the ball game. Commanders narrowly avoid a sack fumble in end zone (by a foot or so) on 3rd&15, then punt on 4th&15, then have it returned for a TD, only to get a first down and then hit Luke for 50 on the next play. From 17-7 to 10-10. The world changed.

When they played Spooky Rocky Top on a crucial third down in the 4th with Florida backed up & Neyland got so loud it caused a delay of game penalty AND then they hit us with 3rd Down For What & Neyland noise went up another notch….CHILLS!
