From someone who grew up in Raleigh and went to school/settled down in Charlotte, everything you said about Raleigh is what CLT is. CLT is where all the young adults are + way more things to do. Asheville and Wilmington also rule.

I always say Charlotte is a great place to live but not to visit. It doesn’t have the fun touristy stuff that a lot of other big cities have (unless you’re into NASCAR) but I think living here is awesome

Great take. Another great thing about Raleigh is that you can get to Durham (Duke) and Chapel Hill (UNC) within a 30-40 minute drive. Plus it’s only 2 hours to the Beach (Wilmington) and 3.5 hours to the Mountains (Asheville & Boone). The Canes are the best pro team in the state.
