This guy has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. He assumes that an electric tractor would have the same 15%-20% effiency as his diesel. By the same logic my EV would need a 700kWh battery. It doesn't. It's 10 times as efficient. That simple

I don’t know. I hear a lot of different opinions when it comes to large equipment.

Should the Covid shot have been pulled off the recommended list for children and pregnant women by RFK Jr?

Puts things into perspective. In summary, forcing everyone to go electric would cause more problems than not. You would think that politicians would look into this before backing it… That is if they cared about the impact it would have on everyone’s daily lives.

@DadInvest agree but numbers are off converting 1l diesel to mechanical output in a tractor is ~40% efficient e motors being more efficient it’s closer to 3kwh per liter of diesel or 90,000 kwh. Tesla packs are 500-900 so charge ~100-150x . Fuel capacity 660 litters so refuel’d ~45 times

60-70% of your “diesel energy” is made into heat. Cut out the middle-man and go electric.

That’s fake. You wouldn’t need the kWh of diesel because most of the diesel fuel becomes wasted heat. Just like we can’t believe whales were converted to lamp fuel we won’t believe the waste and pollution of old time diesel and gas

Wrong. Electric is much more efficient than diesel. It’s not a direct kWh to kWh conversion.

Someone with visibility should send this to Elon. He’s convinced solar is better. When it actually isn’t.

The world would starve

but that’s not how the energy works - electric is much more efficient, you don’t need near as much energy.
