Diet soda causes a bacterial explosion? Uh… how about no
10 条评论

In this podcast, they asked if diet soda is “healthy” I said 1- switching from sugary soda to diet soda is probably ideal (seems we agree on this) 2- switching from drinking water to diet soda not ideal as it’s still active metabolically and it changes microbiome (seems we agree on this) What I didn’t say 3- diet soda causes you to gain weight. Now you may assume I meant this, but I’m aware the evidence isn’t clear yet for this claim to be made. (We agree also) If we agree, why make a call out video? 🤔

No human randomized controlled study shows that they are “Perfectly fine to consume” as you claim.

Layne is prob my favorite human I’m like not even joking lol

@vinnerroy I'm pretty much skeptical of anything diet- or nutrition-related 🤔. It's surprising how many people buy these nowadays

I don’t know what do first with the “HUMAN RANDOMIZED CONTROL TRIALS” - laugh or cry. 😆 😭 Seriously 😂 love your unwavering dedication to preaching what unfortunately should be common sense. Keep it up 👍

That guy is a doctor.

Imagine wanting clicks so bad that you try to question things that a REAL DOCTOR, that has more subs than you, said.

Any truth that it can cause gut inflammation? I’ve been told a large portion of the population is “allergic” to these sweeteners and it can cause chronic gut inflammation. I personally don’t buy it but I’m wondering if there is any truth to that?

Love how you keep everything rooted in science, and not how you are feeling that day!

The data on aspartame and sucralose is a mixed bag I don’t know why you would even want to chance it?
