Didi basics wrong bol diya... 1) The type of Pizza she is talking about is Neapolitana pizza 2) Sourdough is optional not all neapolitana pizzas have sourdough, it is that they do not add additional yeast 3) This natural fermentation without additional yeast is always smooth on gut 4) Three other ingredients are Mozarella-de-Bufla, basil and tomato puree...I add EVOO as well This makes native Neapolitana pizza the best ever...however Indians in general donot like the taste and it should be eaten quickly and will taste soggy and horrible after certain time..not good for delivery pizzas...

Biggest diff is the use of any form of dry yeast in India. Italians make their dough out of mother dough which doesn't need additional yeast. That's why you don't feel full when you eat a whole pizza in Italy. Try Si Nonnas pizza in Bangalore and see the diff.

No, she is mistaken. Italian pizzas are smaller in size, made with olive oil and fresh vegetables. The long fermentation process breaks down gluten, making them easier to digest. However, they do not provide probiotic benefits.

Pure propaganda. No pizzeria rests their dough for 7 days. Eating maida is in their diet. Until the late '60s the pizza in Italy was just one of the many regional dishes, and not very popular outside of the Naples region. Tomatoes were brought in 16th century in Europe.

I don’t care how healthy it is, it is still limited by the fact that it’s a Pizza. 17 days eating Pizza, even if it’s authentic Italian pizza, isn’t healthy. Firstly, we need to stop fooling ourselves that fast food is healthy.
