The artificial grass is 178 degrees “Which field do you want your kids playing on? Not to mention the smell, the reek of burning plastic. “I’m never late. I’m never frenzied. If you’re frenzied, it’s YOU.” In my 30 years in business I've worked directly with hundreds of entrepreneurs & C-level execs, several self-made billionaires, and even a few icons. What I observed—which may seem counterintuitive to some—is: 👉The most effective people aren't "busy". They have plenty of time for all the important things. They don't rush from one thing to the next. It's not because they have less complicated lives than the rest of us. It's exactly the opposite—*because* they have massive demands on their time, they’re RUTHLESS about these 5 things (they're all simple, but not easy): 1) Focus on a few important things 2) Say no to unimportant things 3) Set boundaries (and don’t compromise them) 4) Measure output, not input (results, not effort) 5) Recognize the importance of free time Just listen to Jeff Bezos in his prime (pun intended): "I get up early, I go to bed early, and I like to putter in the morning. My puttering time is very important to me—that's why I set my first meeting for 10am." The Government of Zimbabwe intends to introduce a Statutory Instrument prohibiting medical aid societies from owning medical service providers such as clinics and pharmacies. Beyond being anti “open for business,” this move risks decimating the medical insurance sector in the same way policy and monetary instability destroyed confidence in the pension sector. The real problem is not vertical integration by medical aid societies. The real problem is hyperinflation, currency instability and the collapse of confidence in our monetary system. Medical insurance has simply found a way to work around that dysfunction. The proposed SI will likely lead to a sharp increase in medical fees and it is customers who will suffer most. The doctors and pharmacists lobbying for this measure are being anti-business and ultimately, acting against their own long-term interests. A better response would be for them to come together and establish medical aid societies that can rival the existing players. If we destroy medical aid societies, customers will not suddenly rush to private doctors and pharmacies. Many will simply stop using formal doctors and pharmacies altogether, as we have seen in parts of Africa where medical aid systems collapsed.

Yesterday, I was overwhelmed by the support I received for my speech in Parliament. Many of you shared it widely, I had not posted it myself. I am now sharing the full speech again so those who missed it can watch how this government is excluding and targeting some of the most marginalised sections of our society. The fight will continue. We will not allow the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community and transgender persons to be diluted, and we will ensure that their dignity, identity, and constitutional protections remain intact. This Bill is a double assault on the transgender community’s dignity and rights: • While every MP in Parliament self declares their gender without scrutiny, transgender citizens are being forced to prove their identity before a medical board and the District Magistrate • From childhood, we are boxed into blue for boys and pink for girls, but identity is deeply personal and constitutionally protected • At a time when the LGBTQIA+ community is still fighting for recognition of same sex marriage, this government is taking us backwards by removing even the right to self identification • No meaningful consultation with the transgender community or stakeholders, despite Supreme Court led processes • The Bill invades privacy, enables discrimination, and opens the door to criminalisation This is not reform, this is regression. Not protection, but policing of identity. As Mahatma Gandhi reminded us, “The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members.”

i built a full game on a single GPU with a 3B model and this is the worst local AI will ever be. this was supposed to be a benchmark test. load the model, measure tokens per second, write it up, move on. instead i spent 20 minutes playing Octopus Invaders because the game is genuinely fun and i couldn't stop. a model with 3B active parameters built this from a single prompt. it debugged its own collision system when bullets were phasing through enemies. read the error, found the fix, kept building. this is not a frontier API. this is a quantized open source model running on hardware you can buy used for $800-$1200. no cloud. no subscription. no API costs. just a mass produced consumer GPU doing things that would have been absurd 12 months ago. and here's the part that should keep you up at night: every month the models get smaller and smarter. the quants get tighter. the context windows get longer. the tooling gets cleaner. what 3B active parameters does today on 24gb, a 1B model will do on 8gb within a year. you are looking at the floor. not the ceiling.
